From April 2007 until July 2009, during the entire time Gator's Neo Soul Cafe in San Mateo was in business, Doni entertained the restaurant's patrons as the main musician with his solo blues .

2004, 2005 & 2006 Gigs to remember
In 2004 micha's in San Carlos, became another home for Doni as a much loved regular artist playing the blues once a month for micha's Blues on Fridays. In 2005 and 2006 many friends and patrons returned to indulge in micha's soul food while enjoying Doni's blues. In 2005 Doni joined an array of Bay Area musicians to perform at benefit for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
