News Doni recently returned from a very successful concert series in Germany in 2010, where he performed his "*San Francisco Style" solo acoustic blues in sold out venues and at intimate house concerts. A note from Fre, Doni's wife:* As many of you may know, Doni died suddenly on 6,1, 2011. We all miss him so much. Doni was working on his next solo CD, Deeper Into the Blues" , which I am currently finishing. I would love everyone's help and appreciate any contribution towards this endeavor.

The Benefit Concerts to raise funds for the completion of Doni's CD "Deeper Into the Blues" were great successes. More News: In 2010 Doni played his solo blues at Bayonne (formerly known as Agenda Restaurant). Doni teamed up with Chef Gator: Doni's blues and Chef Gator's Healthy Southern Food was an experience not to be missed and not easily forgotten! Bayonne was located at 399 South First Street , San Jose, Ca 95113. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances this wonderful place had to close it's doors at the end of 2010. We are all looking forward to the next place Chef Gator will open for his food to be accompanied by Doni's blues. You will find the news on this site for sure.

2004, 2005 & 2006 Gigs to remember
In 2004 micha's in San Carlos, became another home for Doni as a much loved regular artist playing the blues once a month for micha's Blues on Fridays. In 2005 and 2006 many friends and patrons returned to indulge in micha's soul food while enjoying Doni's blues. In 2005 Doni joined an array of Bay Area musicians to perform at benefit for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
